Donald Craig LindseyOjai, CAOur loving and devoted son, brother and friend Donald Craig Lindsey lived his life with great passion, grit, courage and an infectious sense of humor. Craig, age 32, passed away on May 2nd, 2017. He was born on January 31st, 1985 and grew up in Ojai, Ca. He attended Meiners Oaks elementary, Matilija, and Nordhoff where he was able to play football and gather many experiences along the way. Craig loved his family and friends, was easy to get along with and was blessed with a gift to make others smile. Craig had a large extended Greek family as well and was able to enjoy multiple vacations visiting relatives and creating memories. He was a fanatic Seahawks and Nordhoff Football fan. He enjoyed music and continued to make others laugh and smile by demonstrating his ability to freestyle lyrics at the drop of a hat. In the tradition of the Craig family who adopted his grandfather many years ago, he believed in mentoring kids and going the extra mile to help youngsters see and reach their full potential. Craig did this by being a vibrant uncle and volunteering his time coaching youth football and other community events. In recent years, Craig became very close to his girlfriend Haley. They were able to share Craig's love for life and enjoying each moment. While Craig's young life has passed, his bright light and charisma will forever be cherished by his family and his many, many dedicated friends.Craig is survived by his mother, Haroula Henney. His father, Garry Lindsey. His aunt, Dawn Henney. He is also survived by his brother Tony Henney and wife Tess, his sister Nichole Sandefur and husband Cory along with Craig's two nephews Hudson and Jacob, and his youngest brother Skyler Perry. A memorial will be held on Saturday May 13th, 2017 at Church of the Living Christ at 1:00pm with the reception to follow immediately after at Soule Park.
