Buchda,, Donald E.Donald Earl Buchda, age 87 of Fox Lake, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.Don was born on March 26, 1929 at home in Fox Lake, the son of Lyle and Inez (Waterworth) Buchda. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School. On April 22, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dorice Hedman in Shirland, IL. Over the years, Don farmed and enjoyed doing carpentry work. He also worked as a maintenance mechanic at Westra Construction. He enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things, including his cherished 1934 Ford truck. In his earlier years, he enjoyed camping with his family all over the United States. His dog, Toby, held a special place in his heart.Don is survived by his children, Lennart (Debra) Buchda of Randolph, Nancy (Ken) Freriks of Waupun, Bev (Dale) Gruszynski of Omro, John Buchda of Randolph, William Buchda of Fox Lake and Jerry Buchda of Fox Lake; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother, Lee (Donna) Buchda of Shawano, WI; sister-in-law, Marian Buchda of Fox Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorice; brother, Vernon and other relatives.A memorial gathering for Don will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, town of Trenton, and a luncheon will be served back at Cornerstone.Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services in Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
