Dorn, Donald H.Donald H. Dorn, age 93, passed into Eternal Life on April 30, 2017, at Country Villa Estates, Freedom, Wisconsin. He was born on August 8, 1923, in Greenville, Wisconsin, the son of the late Daniel and Charlotte (Ulman) Dorn. On September 25, 1948, Donald married Laverne Van Daalwyk at Holy Name Parish, Kimberly, Wisconsin; she preceded him in death on May 26, 1997.Donald worked at American Can, Neenah, and was a truck driver for Motor Transport, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Donald enjoyed thirty-three wonderful years of retirement. He was known for his large vegetable garden, and his pig farm, both of which helped to support his family. He enjoyed playing cards, sheepshead and rummy. Donald and Laverne together raised twelve children, and enjoyed their twenty-four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Grandpa really loved the little ones. He is survived by his sons, David (Ken Krajewski) Dorn, Don Dorn, Chuck (Wanda) Dorn, Jim (Judy) Dorn; his daughters, Rebecca (Mike) Lewin, Barb Semrow, Kathy Cousineau, Mary (Pat) Wagner, Bev (Mike) Mulroy, Patti (Steve) Klitzke, Shelly Miller and Colleen (Rick) Jacob; his grandchildren, Adrienne and Will Dorn, Derek (Jackie) Lewin, Jessica Lewin (fiance Pat Stecbauer), Richard Semrow (fiance Laura Ristow), Crystal Semrow (special friend Dan Lieuwen), Jackie (Matt) Gerrits, Meghan (Pat) Smits, Zak (Jessie) Cousineau, Max (Chris) Cousineau, Leah and Kendra Wagner, Chris, Nick, Terry, Kyle Joe, and Brandon Mulroy, Hannah and Nicole Klitzke, Katelyn (Daniel) Lawrence, Amy (Bryan) Baldwin, and Sid and Frances Jacob; his great grandchildren, Jarrett and Brady Lewin, Makenna Semrow, Owen and Bennett Theunis, Liam and Lincoln Gerrits, Ellie, Cale and Caden Smits, Paisley and Houston Lawrence, and Bryson Baldwin; his brother, Lawrence Dorn; his sisters, Charlotte Koerner, Pat Jack and Beaty (Gene) Otto; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Dorn and Marilyn Dorn. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Loretta Dorn; Eugene and Dorothy Dorn; his brothers, Danny Dorn and Jerome Dorn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther Mae and John Krull; Eunice and Rich Brockman; Florence and Harold Woldt; his sister Rosella Ernst; sisters-in-law, Dolores Dorn, Billie Jean Dorn; brothers-in-law, Jack Koerner; Eric Jack; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Eunice Van Daalwyk; and his son-in-law, Greg Cousineau.The Funeral Liturgy for Donald will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton.
