Donald Chavers was born to the late Ivory and Evelyn Chavers on October 26, 1956. He was the sixth of six children. Donald made his transition from the earthly home to glory on October 27, 2017. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William.

Donald attended Howland Elementary School and graduated from Thornwood High School. Because of his love for sports, he played football throughout high school. Donald was born in a family with a strong spiritual foundation and loved the Lord and church; therefore, he was rooted and grounded in the church since the time he was born.

Donald was united in holy matrimony to Donna Chavers and to this union three children were born, David, Danielle and Dawn. Donald was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend who never hesitated to put his personal needs second to the needs of his family.

Donald leaves to cherish his memories one son, David (Linda) of Riverdale, IL; two daughters, Danielle of Montgomery, Il and Dawn (Lorenzo) of Yorkville, IL; six grandchildren, Danijah, Oneal, Bri'Azjha, Dai'Tjuan, Janiah and Lyriq; three brothers, Micheal (Janie) and David; two sisters, Elizabeth (Dennis) and Ellen; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
