Kobus, DonaldDonald B. Kobus, 92, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sheboygan.Donald was born on April 17, 1925, in the Town of Holland, son of Nicholas and Hattie (Heuver) Kobus. He attended Cedar Grove High School. On June 1, 1956, he married Patricia Prinsen in Cedar Grove. Donald was employed with State Foundry in Cedar Grove for 24 years until his retirement in 1987.Donald was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove. He enjoyed gardening, camping, card playing, softball, and horseshoes.Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; his daughter, Gail (Steve) Holzer of Oostburg; his son, Gary Kobus of Cedar Grove; one grandson, Tyler Holzer; and his brother-in-law, Murray (JoAnn) Prinsen of Oostburg.Donald was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Evelyn Kobus, and five brothers, Harvey, Harold, Clarence, Lester, and Marvin Kobus.Funeral services to celebrate Donald's life will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 6pm at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg. A private family burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland.Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Monday, June 19, 2017, from 4pm until the time of service at 6pm.
