Schnell, Donald M. Of Waukesha, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2016, at the age of 71, from complications of Parkinson's disease. He was born on June 27, 1945, the son of Charles and Mildred Schnell. Donald married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Joy Hoffmann, on February 24, 1968. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War for which he was awarded numerous medals. Donald enjoyed collecting coins, model trains, watching Western films, and listening to Country music. Most of all, Donald loved spending time with his family. Donald will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Joy; children, Dawn (Bob) Hood, Doug (Darci) Schnell, and Patti (Chad) Dibb; grandchildren, Brett, Hannah, and Colt. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Charlotte Hoffmann; sister-in-law, Beverly Schnell; brother-in-law, Tom (Sue) Hoffmann; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arnold and Clifford Schnell; and father-in-law, Walter Hoffmann. The visitation for Donald will take place from on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5:00PM until the time of the 7:00PM funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Entombment will take place on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:00AM with military honors at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI 53005. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Milwaukee VA, Attn: Volunteer Services, 5000 W National Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53295.
