Donald Oleen Jex1930 - 2016Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandpa passed away peacefully at the Beehive Home in West Jordan on December 6, 2016 at the age of 86 due to complications of dementia and aging. He was born on August 6, 1930 in Murray, Utah. He was the oldest son of Wilford and Helen Oleen Jex. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1948. He worked at Sears Roebuck Company before joining the Air Force in 1951. Don served here and abroad in Okinawa Japan for 4 years. He attended Utah State and LDS Business College studying bookkeeping and accounting. He continued to help his father on the mink ranch, which later became his profession for 40+ years.In his later years he was also a bus driver for the Jordan School District. He married Patricia Buettner of Maywood, California on January 9, 1959 later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled and raised their family in South Jordan, Utah. Don is survived by his wife Patricia, children Todd (Wendy), Debbie (John), Jim (Deanna), Julie (Ken), 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brother Stan, brother-in-law Larry Brklacich and sister-in-law Yvonne Jex. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Keith and sister Dorothy.Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Glenmore 4th Ward, 4881 W. Cindy Lane (9610 So.), South Jordan. Viewings will be held on Monday, December 12th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W.
