Donna Faith BoothVentura, CADonna Faith (Neufeld) Booth, age 75, passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2016 from a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Donna was born on January 2, 1941 in Salinas, CA to Queen Esther and Barney Neufeld. Her mother's family were pioneers to the Salinas area and her father's family immigrated from the Ukraine and settled in Kansas. Donna had one sister, Shirley and was very close to her Aunt Marilyn and they remained close throughout their lives. Donna married Gibson Booth on Thanksgiving Day, 1959 and together they raised five children. Her greatest joy in life was her children and always felt blessed when she was gifted with another child. She cherished the time she had with her children and always provided for them, teaching them to be independant, respectful and to enjoy nature and the beauty of life. Donna was a fabulous cook and could create a feast out of whatever may be in the kitchen. Her favorite dessert to cook was her "sorry cake", named so because we were always sorry there wasn't more. Donna had a great work ethic and she worked for 7-Eleven for 42 years at various stores in Ventura and Oxnard. She loved her job and it filled her life with joy to share her days with the customers she called friends. In fact, she continued to work until 74 years of age, not out of necessity but out of desire. Donna is survived by her five children, James Booth, Kurt (Shannon) Booth of Ventura, Keri (Allen) Davis of Camarillo, Theron Booth of Colville,WA and Kory Booth of Austin,TX. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, sister Shirley Sirman, Aunt Marilyn Wagner,Betty Jo (Pulley) Booth and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life to honor Donna will be held on Friday, December 9 at 10:00am at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd., Ventura, CA. In recognition of Donna's lifelong support of the Dodger's, we encourage attendees to dress in Dodger Blue as we send our mother off to join her family and our Father in Heaven.
