Halatek Donna Kathryn Halatek, age 82, passed away on 25 Nov. 2016. She was born on 6 Dec. 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Evelyn Smith. Preceded in death by her brothers Glen, Vernon, and Paul Smith. Donna is survived by her husband, Andy Halatek; her daughter, Jodean Ator (David); her step-children, David Kiechle (Mary), Danny Kiechle (Colleen), Cindy Weaver (Rick), Dennis Kiechle (Terri), Darlene Halatek, Dorene Burke (Lewis), Michael Halatek (Dina), Linda Haring (Dan), Denise Gandee; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna worked for many years as an executive secretary at John Deere and later ran her own very successful Mary Kay business. As a resident of Friendship Village Columbus for over 20 years, she gladly organized many of the special events at Christmas, Halloween, Oktoberfest, and more. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Friendship Village Benevolent Fund or a favorite . Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday 5 December with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rebecca Ozcomert officiating at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus Oh, 43229. Interment following memorial service at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus OH, 43202.
