LAGRANGE — Donna M. Lambright, 72, of LaGrange, Ind., died peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2014, after a brave battle with cancer at her home while surrounded by her family. Donna was born on August 9, 1941, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Harry and Hilda (Pollock) Weir; they preceded her in death. While in grade school, Donna moved from New York to LaGrange. After graduating from LaGrange High School in 1959, she worked for 34 years as a cook for Lakeland School Corporation in LaGrange, Ind., retiring in May 2004. Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, and LaGrange American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Living life to the fullest, she loved being with her family and friends. As an avid bird watcher, she especially enjoyed hummingbirds. On March 18, 1960, in LaGrange, Ind., she married Leonard K. Lambright; he survives in LaGrange. Also surviving are two daughters, Tracie (John) Disher of Muncie, Ind., and Robyn Lambright of Wolcottville, Ind.; a son, Brad Lambright of Cary, N.C.; five grandchildren, Mathews Lambright, Jackson Lambright, Daniel Lambright, Lilianna Lambright, and Samantha Lambright; a great-grandchild, Carter Lambright; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tom Weir of Traverse City, Mich., and Jerry and Sally Weir of LaGrange, Ind. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 209 W. Spring St., LaGrange, Ind., with the Rev. Chris Danielson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, Ind. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 1, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, Ind.
