Donna M. PesutBorn: April 22, 1928 Died: October 25, 2016 Donna M. Pesut, age 88 of Malta, IL, and formerly of DeKalb, IL, died on Tuesday October 25, 2016 in her daughter's residence in Malta, IL. Donna was born on April 22, 1928 in DeKalb, IL, and was the daughter of Joseph A. and Mary (Horan) George.Donna was married to the late George D. Pesut on May 6, 1950 at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, he preceded her in death on November 17, 1981. Donna worked at N.I.U in the Food Service Department for many years. She has lived in DeKalb all her life, until recently living in Malta. Donna was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America #996. Donna graduated from the class of 1946 at Our Lady of Angels Academy in Clinton, IA.Survivors include: daughter, Mary (Marshall Hayes Sr.) Espy of Malta; sons, Daniel J. (Susan Ziel) Pesut of Minneapolis, MN, Thomas A. Pesut of Bartlett, IL; grandchildren, Katie (Heath) Espy-Ramsden, Elliott Pesut, and Erin Pesut; 3 great-grandchildren, Blake, Knox, and Jace Ramsden; sisters, Mary (Bill) Guerrettaz of Clare, Louise Reinke of Rochelle, Anna George of Dixon.Preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son, Patrick James Pesut; sister, Sister Mary Joan George BVM; brothers, John Charles George, and James George.Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 at 10:30am in St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb with Father Dean Russell officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 at 9:30am till the time of the service in the church.
