FORT MYERS, FL Donna Marie Bonn, 80, went to be with God on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers, Fla. She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, cousin and friend. She was born on December 11, 1934, in Harrisburg. She was the only child of the late Claude and Mary (Martin) Breneman of York Donna was a 1952 graduate of York High. She worked as a bank teller as a young adult in York. She married Theodore Bonn in 1955 in York and they spent most of their married lives together in Cleveland, Ohio. Donna and Theodore retired to Port Orange, Fla. in 1989, moved to Shell Point Retirement Community in 2005 and Theodore passed away in 2010. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Port Orange, Fla. and a former member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York. Donna was active in charitable work and her Lutheran church in Cleveland and Florida. She loved roller skating, her beloved cat, Raja, her friends, Betty Grable, cheese cake, the Republican Party and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She is survived by her only child, Scott, of New York, N.Y. She will be joyously remembered by her son, cousins and friends who loved her very much. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, PA with the Rev. Dr. Eddie D. D. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
