Donna Downes, a beloved member of the Denton community, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on July 18, 1970, Donna was known for her kind heart. She was a dedicated mother and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Donna had a passion for helping her family and friends whenever she was needed. As long as she could help she would. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing she touched the lives of so many with her warmth and compassion. She passed away in the comfort of her home in Denton, Md

Donna was married to Joseph A Downes in 1988. They later divorced while they still remained best friends up until the day she passed.

She was born Saturday July 18, 1970 to the late James N. Jenkins and Virginia M. Jenkins(Mickey Sheppard). She was educated primarily in Caroline County.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceeded in death by her oldest sister, Shelia Jenkins; and brothers Edward T. Jenkins, Charles M. Jones and Dwayne K Jenkins.

She is survived by her kids Joseph Jr(Joe), Tytianna(Shae), and Dionus(Dee) all of Denton Md. 5 sister's Terenda Horton(Tommy of Preston Md), Darlene Butler(George of Federalsburg Md), Alethea Smith(Harry of Federalsburg Md), Sandra Jones(Hurlock Md), Sonya Gibbs(Hurlock Md), brothers; Maurice Jenkins(Federalsburg Md), Carl Jenkins(Hurlock Md), 10 grandchildren; Chamarr(17), Diamond(16), Aaliyah(14), Aniyah(12), Savannah(11), Gabriella(10), Kemet(6), Kairo(4), Kalil(3), and Devotion(3 months) along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
