Donnetta Louise Wright was called home by her heavenly father on Dec. 2, 2016, of causes incident to age.
Donnetta was born on June 30, 1939, to Ralph Washington and Hilda Ann Farnsworth at their family home in Ucon. Donnetta was the tenth of 11 children in the Farnsworth family. She grew up in Ucon and graduated from Bonneville High School, where she was a Honey Bee on the drill team.
Donnetta met the love of her life through a blind date arranged by her sister, Elaine. On July 12, 1957, Donnetta married Robert Ewin Wright in the Ucon LDS Church. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Shortly after they were married, Robert was drafted into the Army and left for basic training. During this time, Donnetta lived at home with her parents and later with her sister and brother-in-law, Ramona and Harold Excell in Salt Lake City. Robert was transferred with the Army to Fort Riley, Kan., where Donnetta joined him.
Once Robert was discharged, they moved to Aberdeen, Idaho, where they built their first home and started their family. Donnetta was an incredible stay at home mom to their two daughters, Vickie Jo and Karen Sue.
They later relocated their family to Burley, Idaho, where she worked as the catalog supervisor at JCPenney for 17 years. Donnetta retired to stay at home and help care for her four grandchildren while also running an in home daycare for six years. She never missed a sporting event or dance recital to support her grandchildren in anyway she could. Her love was ever flowing, unwavering and undoubtedly endless.
After the passing of her husband, she moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to her family, where she continued to care for her grandchildren and her great-grandson on a very regular basis.
Donnetta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings over the years and enjoyed serving her Lord and savior.
Donnetta is survived by her two daughters, Vickie McCuistion of Boise and Karen (Anthony) Beckstead of Idaho Falls; four grandchildren, Ryan McCuistion of Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Ashley McCuistion of Boise, Kori McCuistion of Caldwell, Idaho, and Shelby Beckstead of Idaho Falls; along with a great-grandson, Anthony Danger Lockhart of Idaho Falls; sisters, Beth (Don) Carlson, Ramona Excell, Genevieve (Gerry) Cleverly and Elaine Chapman; and one brother, Kenneth (Jan) Farnsworth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ewin Wright; her parents; four brothers, Byram, Jay, Joe and Darrrell Farnsworth; and a sister, Maurine Collins; along with several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
The family would like to thank Dr. Krell and the intensive care unit staff at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for the care she received.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Idaho Falls 28th Ward, which is located at 2025 Jennie Lee Drive in Idaho Falls. Burial will be in Ucon Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
