GLEN ROCK Donnie Gene Conley, 83, died Saturday September 26, 2015 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Janet L. (Gladfelter) Conley, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage on June 29th. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Harvest Time Temple, 700 Black Rock Road, Hanover, with Pastor Fred I, Mummert officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount United Methodist Church Cemetery, Glen Rock with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Harvest Time Temple. Mr. Conley was born on May 10, 1932 in Goldsboro, York Co. and was a son of the late Homer and Catherine Conley Hake. He was a U.S.
Army Veteran of the
Korean Conflict and was employed as an Assembler with the former Cole Steel in York for over 28 years. He was a member of Harvest Time Temple in Hanover and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and liked watch Penn State football. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Denise I. Glatfelter and husband, Philip of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a son, Dwayne E. Conley and wife, Diane of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Stephanie Watson, Melissa Eicherly and husband, Dave, Kimberly Elicker, Matthew Conley and wife, Candi, Scott Conley and wife, Mary, Daniel Elicker and Jimmy Glatfelter; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Eva Harman and husband, Ted of Etters; and a brother, Jay Hake and wife, Janice of Dover. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Bruce Hake. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenmount U.M.
