We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Dontay Nelson, who passed away on June 6, 2024, in Montgomery East, Alabama. Dontay was born on February 7, 2002, to proud parents Bill and Stephanie Nelson.

Dontay was a graduate of Lanier High School, class of 2020. He was a dedicated member of the He Love God organization and found great joy in serving his community and spreading love wherever he went.

One of Dontay's greatest passions was his faith, and he could often be found at church, singing his heart out and praising the Lord. He had a contagious smile and a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Although Dontay had no children of his own, he had a special way of connecting with young people and was a mentor to many. His positivity and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we say goodbye to Dontay, let us remember the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he shared with everyone around him. Rest in peace, dear friend.
