It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dontez Taylor on October 20, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 31. Dontez was born on October 10, 1993, to his loving parents, Donald Taylor and Chiquita Hitchcock.

Dontez leaves behind a loving aunt, Zanetta Coleman, along with Cathy Drumming, Daidra Taylor, uncles Shawn Stevenson, and Paul Demming. He also leaves behind his two children, Sakai Taylor and Ayden Buckhoiz.

Dontez was a dedicated student at Claret Middle School and High School, and later went on to work at Goodwill, Quaker Steak House, and as a plant supervisor at Medina Recycling. He will be missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and various organizations.

One of Dontez's greatest passions was playing sports. Whether it was football, basketball, soccer, or any other sport, Dontez always gave it his all and had a competitive spirit that inspired those around him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a local sports organization in Dontez's memory. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his love for sports, and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Dontez. You will be deeply missed.
