Dora Ann Garcia, 66, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013 at Christus St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Santa Fe.She was born on Nov. 28, 1946 in Las Vegas to her parents Juan Crespin and Mary Frances Smith. She was united in marriage on Aug. 25, 1962 in Trinidad, Colo. to her beloved husband, Leroy F. Garcia. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. She retired from the Las Vegas Medical Center where she worked for 25 years as an LPN. She enjoyed crocheting, playing video games, fishing, Facebook, Daily Catholic Readings, visiting with family, talking on the phone, singing and dancing. She is preceded in death by her biological father, Juan Crespin; brother, Billy Crespin, father and mother-in-law, Margarito and Senaida Garcia, and brother-in-law, Robert Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Leroy F. Garcia, of the family home in Las Vegas; daughters and sons, Diane Ortiz and husband, Anthony, Leroy "Johnny" Garcia and wife, Theresa, all of Las Vegas; Michelle Garcia and fiancé, Vernon Benton, of Albuquerque; and Martin J. Garcia and wife, Joyce, of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Jessica, Anthony Jr., Crystal Rae, Estevan, Joshua, Vanessa, Vidal, Michaelangelo, and Estrella; great-grandchildren, Josúe and Jerome; parents, Seledon and Mary Frances Garcia of Las Vegas; sisters, Jane Quintana and husband, Nappy, and Elaine Romero and husband, Benny, all of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Gloria Lewis of Denver, Colo., and Josie Garcia of Alamogordo; godchildren, David Garduño, Ellery Pena, Bobby Garcia, and Joshua Crespin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. today (Monday) with Funeral services to follow at 9 a.m. Tuesday with both services to be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Joshua Crespin, Anthony Ortiz Jr., Vidal L. Crespin, Michaelangelo Crespin, Dominic Mulroy and David Garduño. Serving as honorary bearers will be all her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
