Dora Dean Eames HallMarch 6, 1924 - November 14, 2015Deane Hall, 91, of Boise, passed away peacefully at her home on November 14, 2015.She was born on March 6, 1924 in Preston, Idaho. She was the eighth of nine children born to David Greaves Eames and Pearl Lorena Geddes. She was named after her grandmother, Dora Neiley Geddes. In school, kids started teasing her about her name, Dora, so she started going by her middle name of Dean but spelled it D-e-a-n-e to make it feminine.She attended the University of Arizona for 2 ½ years and also a business school in Tucson.On September 1, 1946 she married the love of her life, Grant B. Hall in the Eames family home. A great event in her life was when she and Grant went to the Idaho Falls LDS temple on August 28, 1964 to take out their own endowments and be sealed to each other for time and all eternity. They had the privilege of having their four children sealed to them the same day.Deane worked part time in the District Seminary office for the church for several years while her family was growing. She loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life including a teacher, counselor, and president of Young Womens and as secretary and counselors in the Relief Society.Deane loved her family and enjoyed gathering them together for dinners and activities. Through example she taught her children and grandchildren the importance of being mindful of others' needs and quietly giving service.Deane was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; son, Kent Hall; and husband, Grant Hall. She is survived by daughters, Karen Ryals of Caldwell and Deborah Hall of Boise; son, Wade (Joan) Hall of Boise; five grandchildren, Michele Ryals, Shaun (Kristie) Ryals, David (Telena) Hall, Natricia (Scott) Christopherson, Kimberley (Jake) Butterfield; and eleven great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the LDS Chapel located at 701 S. Curtis Rd., Boise. Family will greet friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, individuals may donate to their favorite charity.The last few weeks of her life, she received services and care from Legacy Hospice. The family especially thanks C.J. and Herlinda for the kindness and loving care shown to their mother.
