Atmore, Alabama - The beloved Dora Banks passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 70. Born on February 28, 1953, Dora was known for her incredible wit and caring personality.

Dora spent her life in Atmore, where she became somewhat of a legend. She was the go-to person for a joke or a shoulder to cry on. Her infectious laughter and warm smile will be missed by all who knew her.

A natural-born storyteller, Dora loved to share tales of her youth with anyone who would listen. Her favorite stories involved her and her sister sneaking out at midnight to catch fireflies, and her attempts to learn how to cook as a teenager.

Aside from her love of storytelling, Dora had a passion for gardening. Her yard was always blooming with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, which she loved to share with her family & friends. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds.
