Doris Morgan was born on October 16, 1932to the late Alma and Herbert McConnell of Washington D.C. She was an only child.
Doris graduated From Armstrong Hugh School. She furthered her education by attending D.C. Teacher's college, which is now Howard University.
Doris began working for the Government Printing Office in the late 1950's and retired in the mid 70's. Eventually, she grew tired of sitting around all day and decided to take a job with Sears & Roebuck and left in 1989. One June 6, 1988, she married Emanuel Morgan.
Doris leaves to cherish her sweet memories her loving husband, Emanuel; two granddaughter, Cheryl Parker and Karen Johnson: four grandchildren; DeNia Paige, Melva Johnson, Joseph and Michael Parker. One grandson in-law, Rolanda Paige, four great- grandchildren; DeMia and Doninick Paige and Joseph and Joshua Parker. One Aunt, Annie Ruth Thomas and three cousins, James West (Buster), Carl Sr. and Carl Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
