Doris Olive Cushman, 95 of Salinas passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 3, 2015. She was born August 5, 1919 in Hasting, Nebraska, and came to Salinas, California when she was 18 years old. She worked in the Retail Sales for Women and Men's Clothing for 49 years, and retired from The Lady Shop in Salinas. Doris was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Women's Guild, the Monterey County Historical Society and the Steinbeck House Women's Valley Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Cushman in 1972.
