We mourn the loss of Dorothy Arthur, who passed away on April 4th, 2023 at the age of 98, in Manassas, Virginia, United States. Born on September 30th, 1924, to Herbert and Helena Dwyer, she was the beloved wife of Stanley Arthur, whom she married in 1943, and with whom she raised their six children: Missy, Thomas, Charlotte, Olivia, Peter, and Ashley. She was a devoted mother who took great pride in her family.

Dorothy was a woman of strong faith who lived her life with grace and compassion. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her heart held enough love to fill the entire world, and all who had the privilege of knowing her felt the warmth of her spirit. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy Arthur leaves behind her loving husband, six children, and eight grandchildren, and 6 great - grandchildren. Her family was her greatest source of joy, and her legacy lives on through them. We offer our deepest condolences to her family during this difficult time.

Services will take place at Preston and Sons Funeral Home of Manassas. A visitation will take place on Tuesday April 11, 2023 from 6pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held the next day at 10am. Dorothy will be privately buried at her family cemetery in Fairfax.
