On August 31, 2025, Dorothy Ogletree of Washington, Georgia, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. She was born on June 6, 1938, to her parents Brafetta and Ethel.

Dorothy was a beloved mother to her four children - Robert, Joe Walice, Linda, and Anthony. She adored her 10 grandchildren and always had a special place in her heart for each one of them.

She attended Washington High School and later went on to work at The Hawaii Café, where she brightened the days of all who knew her. Dorothy was known for her impeccable cooking skills and loved sharing her homemade meals with family and friends.

Dorothy faced her battle with cancer with grace and courage, never losing her sense of humor or positive outlook on life. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family.

While we mourn the loss of Dorothy, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace and watching over us from above. Rest in peace, dear Dorothy.
