Lovett, age 80, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Strawberry Lane Medical & Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Stephen Steinmetz will officiate. Burial will take place at Pioneer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. www.taylorfuneralhome.net.Dorothy was born on February 8, 1937 in Akron, OH to Jason and Verna (Combee) Burkholder. She married Grady Lovett on June 18, 1955 in Waycross, GA. They were blessed with their lives together, until his passing in 2002.She was a long-time and faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved and cherished her relationship with her savior Jesus Christ. Dorothy enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She could be found, trying to spot a bargain at garage sales. Dorothy loved her Green Bay Packers, and anyone who was playing the Bears. Most of all, Dorothy loved spending time with her family. She is loved and will be deeply missed, but comfort is found in the fact that she is now in the presence of the Lord.Dorothy is survived by her children: Charlotte (Gary) Cook, Ruth (Bruce) Diggles, Pam (Raffael) Manzo, and Karen (Mitch) Redcloud; son-in-law, Dan (Kristine) Downing; siblings: Jay (Sarah) Burkholder, Helen Brown, Cricket (Bill) Mullins, and Pat Wood; grandchildren: Diana (Josh) Henke, Holly Cook, Marty (Amanda) Cook, Jamie Cook, Corisa Cook, Miranda (Mike) Brennen, Christopher (Natalie) Diggles, Wendy Lange, Lisa (Jonas) Hanneman, Grady (Danielle) Stewart, Cassandra (Jason) Timper, James (Nancy) Lovett, Dustin (Marquee) Smith, Nick (Alaina) Smith, Kadan Downing, Robert Downing, Paul Downing, Sabrina (Ricky) Hamilton, and Phoenyx Redcloud; many great-grandchildren whom she loved; and special friend, Barb Paige, who spent many days visiting and doing puzzles with her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Grady; daughter, Paula Stewart Pietz; and parents, Jason and Verna Burkholder.The family would like to acknowledge the special staff at Strawberry Lane Medical & Rehabilitation Center for their comfort and care shown to Dorothy. Also, Rhonda Ziegler, for the many hours she spent putting together puzzles with Dorothy and Kathy Bishop for her weekly visits. Lastly, the family would like to thank the staff at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time.
