Dorothy BriggsDorothy Ann Briggs, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She was born on July 27, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA to Gerardo and Emma Macioce. Dorothy graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1950 and The Robert Morris University in 1954. She worked shortly for General Electric before she married Dr. Ronald James Briggs Sr. on June 22, 1957. Dorothy is survived by her brother, Jerry, of Pittsburgh, PA, her four children Ronald J. Briggs, Jr (Tammy), Dr. Richard G. Briggs (Bridget), Randy S. Briggs (Lori) and Renee A. Briggs-Buffington (Michael) and her beloved grandchildren. David Briggs, Ronnie Briggs, Scotty Briggs, Benjamin Briggs, Michael Buffington, Emma-Lee Buffington, Hilo Briggs and Jett Briggs. She is preceded in death by her parents Gerardo and Emma Macioce, and her husband Dr. Ronald James Briggs, Sr.A memorial service will be held at the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 16 at 10:00 am www.heritagesfsd.com
