Ellinwood, Dorothy I. 85, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at her home in Wichita. Dorothy was born on November 21, 1929 in Peru, KS the daughter of Lloyd and Hattie (Mitchell) Gastineau. Dorothy and W.H. "Bill" Ellinwood were united in marriage on Nov. 15, 1947 in Sedan, KS. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing on October 19, 1999. Dorothy retired from KG&E. She enjoyed bowling and attending Pathway Church and volunteering at the Lord's Diner in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, W.H. "Bill"; brothers, Charles, Lloyd, Jim, Richard and Kenny. Survivors include her loving daughters, Sharon Cook of Wichita; Linda (Don) Dickson of Wichita; sister, Betty (Jerry) Halderman of Independence; KS and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A visitation with family present will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS. Pastor Gene Carlson will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita.
