Dorothy Ruth Frisk1934 - 2013Dorothy Ruth Frisk, 78, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Brookside Care Center.She was born on Dec. 7, 1934, to the late Gottlieb and Amalia (Fellinger) Kober in Sheboygan. She was educated at Friedens Lutheran School and graduated from Racine Lutheran High School.On Oc. 26, 1957, she married Roger B. Frisk at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.Dorothy worked as an executive secretary at American Motors, then at Bruch Funeral Home for 30 years and finally at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.Music was one of Dorothys passions. She enjoyed being part of teaching and bringing music to life for children. She enjoyed being the childrens choir director and directing Christmas programs for many years. Dorothy was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was the organist and choir director at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for 10 years, then for 30 years at Abiding Word and finally at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dorothy is survived by her loving family, husband Roger and daughters Laura (Jeffrey) Hoffman of Chelsea, Mich., and Nora Frisk of Porter, Ind.She is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Harbach.Funeral Services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church (5038 19th Avenue). Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 (Noon) until the time of service. Private interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
