Dorothy Carolyn LeGrand Gibson, 70, of Durham, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Hock Family Pavilion.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1943.

She taught science at Githens and Jordan High School in Durham.

Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Knotts Funeral Home at 113 N. Graham St., Chapel Hill.

Family Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Mark A.M.E. Zion Church at 531 S. Roxboro St., Durham.

Graveside and interment will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Ashley Chapel Cemetery at 309 Rosalyn Road, Rockingham.
