Dorothy Lattin-McNamaraSouthbury, CTDorothy Ann Lattin-McNamara, 76, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness with Alzheimer's.Dorothy A. Guido was born on April 19, 1941 in Bronx, NY to the late William Guido and Anne DiDomenico Guido. She had worked at Branson Sonic Power of Danbury for close to 20 years before moving to Anderson, SC in 1987 with her late husband Edward A. Lattin and Gertrude (Aunt Gert) Carroll, who later predeceased her on Oct. 15, 1999, where they all then built their home on beautiful Lake Hartwell. Dorothy then worked for Design South Professionals Inc. of Anderson, SC until she retired. Dorothy was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Anderson, SC. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 17yrs. Mr. John H McNamara, who was a loving and caring husband. Dorothy leaves behind her son; William Leach of Gaylordsville, CT, her Daughter; Vicki Brogna of Southbury, CT, her granddaughters; Joie E. Leach also of Gaylordsville, CT and Chrystal A. Brogna of Fitchburg, MA and a great granddaughter; Azsalise A. Vacca of Fitchburg, MA. She is also survived by her siblings: Annette Teasley of FL, Eugene Guido of NC, William Guido of FL and Ronald Guido of NY. Many nieces and nephews also survive.Dorothy was loved by anyone she touched, she had a smile and a way to light up a room when entering.She was a loyal friend along with being a giving, caring, intelligent and funny woman. Her best role, however, was being a mother and grandmother where she provided unconditional love and values. She will be greatly missed.A Memorial Gathering will take place from 12pm-2pm on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury followed by a reception.
