A Time To Be Born
Sis. Dorothy Graves was born on November 17th, 1947 in Douglas, GA. She was born to the union of Ruby Lee Balcom and Dan Williams. She was the youngest daughter of seven children. Fred (Alma) Williams of Columbia, SC. (Vancy Williams, Charlie Williams, James Williams, Richard Williams and One Sister-Rosetta Handcox all that preceded her in her transition).
A Time To Live
Sis. Dorothy attended Carver High School. She was a dedicated employee of TRW for 21 years. She then transitioned her employment to PCC Airfoils where she was a faithful employee for 35+ years where she later retired.
A Time To Love
Sis. Dorothy met James Graves Sr. She married him on Sept 17th, 1966. To this union five children were born.
A Time To Serve
Sis. Graves was a faithful stewardess of Young’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she continued to serve until her health began to fail. She was a member of the: Senior Choir, Kitchen Committee, Mission In Action as well as a previous member of the Pastor's Aide. Sis. Graves loved her church, her family, sewing and music.

Sis. Graves leaves to cherish her memory: Her Husband James Graves Sr. Five Children-Ruby (Addis) Bell of Douglas, GA, James (Aurelia) Graves JR. of Covington, GA, Brenda (Gregory) Batts of Lumberton, NC, Sharon (Harvey Jr.) Martin of Douglas, GA, Sharee (Crystal) Graves of Charlotte, NC. 14 Grandchildren (Darwin McDonald, Sharane McDonald, Shawntal McDonald, Javiontae Martin, Jaleysia Martin, Daniel Lawrence, Rakeem Bell, Kelsey Graves, Princess Graves, Dorian Graves and Princess Graves) and 9 Great Grandchildren (Tristan Browne, Savion Browne, Twan Browne, Grace Pittman, Kennedy Graves, Serenity Martin, Kendrix Martin, Marvin Mcrae, Andres Romero). One Brother in law J.L Handcox. A host of nieces, nephews, special friends and other relatives.
