Dorothy McCloudMARION: Dorothy McCloud, age 105 of Marion, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Primrose of Marion.Dorothy was born on the family farm in Hardin County on August 26, 1911. She was the daughter of William Harvey and Mary Victoria (Baertsche) McCloud. Upon graduation from high school, Dorothy moved to Columbus where she attended Business College. She then moved to Chicago and was employed by RB & W. It was there that Dorothy served as the executive secretary to the vice president of the company. She retired in 1976 and moved to Marion.Dorothy was a fond lover of life and had a vibrant spirit. She was a loving caregiver to her parents and others. Entertaining was something Dorothy loved to do and cooking for her guests was her passion. She was generous and loving; family was her most cherished part of life.Dorothy loved her "family" at Primrose. It was there that she celebrated her astonishing 105th birthday, a birthday not only recognized be her beloved family and friends, but also a birthday recognized by the President of the United States, US Senators and Representatives. Dorothy was the epitome of a life well lived.She will be remembered by her siblings; Martha Cluttter of Marion and Donald McCloud of Forest; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Milburn, Chester, Ralph and Robert McCloud and sister Beatrice Anspach; brother-in-law: William Clutter and sister-in-law Mona McCloud.Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Dunkirk Cemetery, Dunkirk, OH at 11:30AM with Pam Lamb-Hart officiating.If so desired, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
