Dorothy Q. HernandezSanta Paula, CADorothy Q. Hernandez, of Santa Paula, peacefully entered into the presence of our Heavenly Father on November 3rd, 2017. She was lovingly surrounded by her immediate family during her last days. Dorothy was born on June 5, 1944 in Santa Paula to Augustine Quintero and Josie Q. Ante.She is survived by her loving husband David Hernandez, son Mark (Catherine) Lovato, daughters Sonya Soto, Allison Hernandez, April Hernandez, grandchildren Marcus (Kaylee Wysel) Lovato, Jaclyn Soto, Marisa Lovato, great-grandson Ezra Lovato, brother Augustine (Petra) Quintero, sisters Eva Ramirez, Stella (Norbert) Riesgo and number of nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family.Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband Herman Lovato, parents Augustine and Josie, son-in-law Rick Soto and brother-in-law Charlie Ramirez.Dorothy was driven by her faith in God. She had a strong passion for sharing the Gospel and encouraging those around her. She was not one to shy away from truth and was fearless when it came to living out her faith. Dorothy loved the Bible and throughout her life she led Bible studies. She began teaching Sunday School at 12 years old and continued up until this month.For 54 years, Dorothy was a hairdresser in Santa Paula which included her owning her own business. Dorothy absolutely loved being outdoors, especially at the beach. She also loved camping and spending time with her family.Dorothy's life will be celebrated at Life Way Baptist, 673 W.
