Dorris Venetos, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024, in Punta Gorda, Florida, at the age of 77. She was born on July 28, 1946, to George and Maria Venetos in Punta Gorda.

Dorris was a vibrant and outgoing individual who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a passion for life and a contagious smile that could light up any room. Dorris was known for her generous heart and unwavering loyalty to those she loved.

Throughout her life, Dorris was a dedicated member of her community, volunteering her time and resources to various charitable organizations. She had a special love for animals and devoted much of her time to animal rescue efforts, always opening her home to pets in need.

Family was at the center of Dorris's world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a pillar of strength and support for her family, always there to offer a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on.

Dorris was an avid traveler and enjoyed exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. She had a passion for adventure and was always up for trying something new. Her thirst for knowledge and curiosity about the world were truly inspiring.

Funeral services for Dorris Venetos will be held on April 27, 2024, at the Punta Gorda Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local animal shelter in Dorris's memory.
