Dorothy Lee Baker, a beloved member of the Kinston community, passed away at the age of 95 on October 16, 2024. Born on September 13, 1929, Dorothy was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering positivity. She was a pillar of strength for those around her and touched the lives of many with her caring nature. she was a member and church mother of grace and Mercy church ,Norfolk .she is survived by Three daughters ,valerie patrice (Pat) ,Juliette Anne (Julie),Rosa L Baker ; two sons , Johnnie Lee (jay) William Baker (Will) three sisters; Daisy arue , Cora Mae , Ella Mae ,one brother Levi Adams ; 7 Grandchildren ; Chantelle Elliotte (Shiny) Peaches Miyomi (mymy) Zakoya Drake (pumpkin), Noel Baker, Justin Baker ,Mikel Baker, Alicia Thornton, Naquan Baker ; 17 Great -Grandchildren ;and a host of nieces,other Relatives and friends.Dorothy will be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and love for life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought into the world.
