Doug was born on April 29th, 1944 to Kenneth and Frances (Bussell) James in Anderson, Indiana, the youngest of 6 children. He moved with his family to Phoenix at the age of 4. He went to Franklin & Kenilworth elementary schools and graduated from West High School in 1962. It was there he met the love of his life, Maureen Adair. They were married for over 54 years. He never missed an opportunity to attend events of all kinds supporting his children, grandkids, nieces and nephews. Doug was a "foodie" and enjoyed good meals with his family and friends. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife Maureen, son Jim (Ruth), 6 grandkids, 3 great grandkids, 4 sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy and son Doug Jr. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 25th at Bethany Bible Church 6060 N. 7th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85015 at 2:00pm.
