R. Douglas KreisZANESVILLE: R. Douglas "Doug" Kreis of Zanesville, died at his residence September 14th, 2015. He was born on the 22nd of August to the late Charles Robert Kreis and Treasure Lucille Arter Kreis. Doug was very active in the community with such groups as; Muskingum County Genealogy Society, Zanesville Art Center, American Legion Post 29, and Zanesville Aerie No 302 and many others. He also proudly served in the US Army in Germany during the
Vietnam War. Doug was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Zanesville. He is survived by three sisters, Diane Dalton (Don Baker) of Zanesville, Debbie (Greg) Strohl of Somerset, Darla (Rich) Wieber of Zanesville; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends Mark and Michelle Musselman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Kreis; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother in law, Joe Noll; and niece, Stephanie Bowen. Friends and family may call from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, September 18, 2015, with Rev. Mark Matzke officiating. He will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville, with full military honors being provided by the United States Army in conjunction with
