Douglas E. PriceNewark: A funeral service for Douglas E. Price will be held at 11am on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21 Street, Newark, OH 43055. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service and on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2-4pm at the funeral home. Doug will be laid to rest at Newark Memorial Gardens. Doug, age 77, of Newark, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born on May 4, 1940 in Zanesville, OH to the late Homer and Beulah (Brown) Price. Doug graduated from Hanover-Toboso High School in 1958, where he received the Best Citizen Award during his senior year. He went to work at Roper following graduation and worked there until 1973. He started working at the Granville Inn in 1976. Doug and his wife Jeanne enjoyed going to plays, barbershop chorus shows, and travelling with close friends, Greg and Cindy Huffman. Doug was a long time member of Neal Avenue United Methodist Church. He loved to sing in the choir and was a member of the Pastor-Parish Committee. Doug is survived by his brother, Stephen (Char) Price; nephew, Matthew Price; Aunt Inez Noble; and many cousins.
