Douglas William DinnesDouglas William Dinnes, 84, of Denton passed away on November 20, 2016 at home surrounded by family. He was born on October 10, 1932 in Detroit, MI. to William and Gertrude Dinnes.Douglas joined the Navy after high school and was in the Korean War. Upon discharge he attended the University of Florida. He was in Electronic Sales for many years and was proudest of his contributions to the first NASA manned orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida. His years before retirement were spent as a Park Ranger for Texas Park and Wildlife at Lake Ray Roberts State Park.He married the love of his life Nancy Nielsen in 1959 and together they had two sons.Douglas is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy, two sons, Kurt Dinnes and wife Megan of Norman, OK., Mark Dinnes and wife Kryste of Austin, TX, two brothers, William Dinnes of Woodstock, GA., Robert Dinnes of Franklin, N.C. and four grandchildren.Visititaion will be held Tuesday November 22, 2016 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be Wednesday November 23, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. in honor of the military service to our country.
