FREMONT — Doyne Eugene Forrester, age 85, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 18, 1931, at Nevada Mills, Indiana, the son of Ellsworth Forrester and Maude (Shaver) Forrester Wren. They preceded him in death. Doyne married Loretta Mae Inman on September 19, 1953, at Pleasant Lake, Indiana. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2014. He attended school in Orland, Indiana. He served in the United States Army, and was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of the Orland American Legion. He formerly worked for Amerigas in Angola, Indiana, and Salga in Fremont, Indiana. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening, and restoring old radios, televisions, and antiques. Survivors include his children, Kerry Forrester of Fremont, Indiana, Cindy (Lavon) Stomm of Angola, Indiana, Treena (Rick) Taylor of Ashley, Indiana, Vickie Forrester and Barb of Bryan, Ohio, and Kriss (Mitiz) Forrester of Benton, Texas; his grandchildren, Doyne, Loretta, Jessee "Buddy," Tina, Melissa, and Audra; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two great-great-granddaughters; a sister, Ilarene (Nelson) Sperry of Coldwater, Michigan; and a brother, Donald (Nancy) Forrester of Ashley, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lillian Forrester Martin, Ernest Forrester, Clifford Forrester, Leta Rodgers, Gladwin Forrester, Agnes Calvert, Violet Greenawalt and Vernon Forrester. According to his wishes cremation will take place. A combined celebration of life service for Mr. and Mrs. Forrester will be held at the Columbia Church of Christ, Columbia, Ohio, at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016.
