It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of our beloved Dr. Daniel L. Hansen. Born on September 2, 1969, in Racine, Wisconsin, Dan lived a vibrant life that touched the hearts of many. He peacefully passed away on July 8, 2023.Dan was the cherished son of Donald Hansen and Rose Scott and beloved son-in-law to Michael Horan and Madelyn Horan. He was a loving brother to Teresa Earl (Jeff), Donna Steger (Ken), and David Hansen (Debra) and loyal brother-in-law to Larisa Calvanese, Candice Harkness (James), Tamara Muccianti (Robert), Ryan Horan (Debra), and Nicole Malinowski (Jeffrey). He cherished his numerous nieces and nephews and their children. From the moment he entered this world, he brought endless joy and laughter to his family. He leaves behind his spouse he adored so greatly, Tiffany Hansen, with whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage. Together, they forged an unbreakable bond that exemplified the true meaning of love and commitment.Family was a cornerstone of Dan’s life, and he took immense pride in being a loving father to his three incredible children. Cassidy, along with her future spouse Grant Schoettelkotte, Faith and Brooke Hansen brought Dan endless delight and pride. His cherished daughters were the apples of his eye. He nurtured their dreams and aspirations, providing unwavering support and love every step of the way.Education played a crucial role in Dan’s journey. He attended Lyons Township High School, where he acquired a solid foundation for his future endeavors, excelling in wrestling, baseball and football, as well as academics. In 1988, he proudly walked across the stage, diploma in hand. In 1993, he graduated from the Naval Academy of Health Sciences Fort Sam Houston as Valedictorian. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at Finch University of Health Sciences at The Chicago Medical School. His insatiable thirst for knowledge led him to hit the books again in 2019, earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Manual Therapy with a Pain Neuroscience Emphasis from the Evidence in Motion Institutes of Health Professions.With a compassionate heart and a desire to heal, Dan dedicated himself to the field of physical therapy. His expertise and unwavering commitment improved the lives of countless individuals at Advance Performance Pain and Wellness Center. Dan’s caring personality and infectious smile provided solace and hope to all he encountered. He sought to make each patient laugh as he knew they came to him in pain.Not only did Dan serve as a healer in his professional life, but he also selflessly served in the Navy. His sacrifice and dedication to his country will forever be remembered and appreciated by those who knew him best.In our hearts and memories, Dan will forever remain a source of light. He kept his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the center of all he did, constantly encouraging everyone he came in contact with with the love of God. He was a dedicated member of Restore Church, where he served as a prayer leader alongside Tiffany.His infectious laughter, warm embraces, and unwavering love enriched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.Though our hearts ache with sorrow, let us also celebrate the joy that Dan brought into our lives, with the assurance he is resting in the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ.
