Drace D. BarnesVentura, CADrace D. Barnes, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2017. Drace was born on October 31, 1934 in Ojai, CA. He married his high school sweetheart and together they raised their family in Ventura.He served in the Army and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Drace took pride in his work as an administrator of a home owners association for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching movies, reading, and tinkering in his garage. He loved making homemade ice cream and collecting Dept. 56 Christmas Villages.Drace will be remembered most for his love and dedication to his family and his treasured friendships. He always had a smile and willingness to help.He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Barnes of 58 years, his parents Lee and Pauline Barnes, his sisters, Barbara Case and Joyce Beal and his twin brother, David Dwight Barnes.He is survived by his son, Denny Barnes, daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Mark Fisher, grandsons, Justin and Evan Fisher.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00am in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
