Duane Whiteman, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on May 17, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born on August 29, 1937, to proud parents Howard and Helen Egolf Whiteman.He is survived by his loving spouse Marion Nancy Knighton Whiteman, whom he married in 1960. Together, they raised two wonderful children: Karen Leslie Whiteman (spouse Tim Donatelli) and Daniel Brian Whiteman (spouse Rene'e Whiteman). Duane was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren.Duane was a graduate of Galvin High School and went on to have a successful career as a Sales Associate, retiring in 2010. Outside of work, he was actively involved in the White Center Jaycees organization and was honored with multiple awards for his dedication to community service.As a Coast Guard veteran, Duane had a lifelong passion for serving his country. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, and vacationing in Mexico with Marion.Duane will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.Rest in peace, Duane Whiteman. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
