Dujuan Johnson at the age of 38, transitioned to eternity at his home in Blue Island, Illinois on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at
approximately 2:30am. He was surrounded by prayers and loved ones.
Dujuan JohnsonSr., son of Herbert Johnson, Sr. and Pamela Johnson was the youngest of four, born, December 14, 1981 in Chicago,
Illinois. He attended the public schools of University Park, Illinois and graduated from Crete Monee High School in Crete, Illinois.
Dujuan has always been an athlete. He started playing football at the age of six with the University Park Lions as a widget and received
numerous accolades throughout his athletic pursuits, reaching the pinnacle of his career as a highly recruited running back by multiple
Division 1 programs, ultimately choosing to take his talents to Northern Illinois University as a Husky.
Dujuan not only loved football. He was an all around sports enthusiast and fitness buff. And, everyone who knows him knew how much he
loved to workout. Dabbling in body building, on a dare he entered a body building competition and won second place against seasoned
competitive bodybuilding veterans. Not only did Dujuan take his workouts to another level, he loved to look good, always dapper when
it was time to dress to impress.
At an early age, Dujuan learned how to cut hair and eventually became a Master Barber and entrepreneur, providing hair services for
friends, family and clients alike. Beyond Barbering, Dujuan pursued other career aspirations. He started working with Ford Motor
Company as an associate with a temporary agency, was eventually selected as a permanent employee with Ford, and immediately began
working his way up to an administrative position as a Process Coach. Everything Dujuan did, he did with purpose and passion, and his
successes in life reflected his drive.
As much as he enjoyed the challenge of competition and pushing himself to reach personal best. The achievement that brought him the
most joy was the birth of his children - Dujuan Jr., David Jamier, Dorian, Dakota, and Dai’Marie.
Dujuan put on his Armor of God and accepted Jesus Christ into his life. Dujuan fought hard and was strong as he battled cancer. He was
optimistic, hopeful, compassionate, loving, and selfless as he prayed for others and not himself. He was preceded in death by
Grandparents, Alice and Tom Johnson, Sr., Lavoyd and John Harley, Jr., Uncles, Tom Johnson, Jr. and Victor Johnson.
