Dwayne Peter BroussardMr. Dwayne Peter Broussard, 52, of Woodstock, Georgia, died Monday, March 14, 2016. His memorial services will be Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Momentum Church located at 659 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock Georgia. He was cremated at FL Simmons Funeral Home. Dwayne was born on April 5, 1963 in Franklin, Louisiana and raise in Labadieville, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Assumption High School class of 1981 and attended Nicholls State University. He was a self-employed carpenter contractor. Dwayne coordinated race support for many charitable organizations virtually weekly in Georgia. One of his many accomplishments was that he supported the Olympic marathon when the Atlanta hosted the Olympic games in 1996. He was a man of a huge heart, in as such; he was involved with supporting the Special Olympics. Dwayne also supported the Peach Bowl and Chick-Fil-A Kick-off Bowl at the Atlanta Georgia Dome. The many things that made Dwayne such an amazing man was his love of the outdoor life of fishing and hunting. Dwayne never met a stranger, his love of people and their love for him as well as his family, was what made him a happy man. He is survived by his wife, Suzanna, parents, Garland and Gloria Broussard, one brother, Dwight, and two sisters, Julie Holley and Janet Baynard, as well as numerous nephews and nieces, many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Whitney and Mabel Broussard and Cade and Blanche' Ballard, Uncles John Ballard, Cade Ballard, Jr., Rudolph Ballard, Glenn Broussard, and Roland Broussard, cousin, Lynn Ballard, and brother-in-law, Christopher Allebone. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later day in his home town of Labadieville, Louisiana.
