E. Douglas "Doug" RayPRINCEVILLE - E. Douglas "Doug" Ray, 54, of Princeville, formerly of Hanna City, passed away at 8:17 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. E. Douglas was born on August 19, 1962, in Peoria, IL, the son of Francis "Elvis" and Ruth Moon Ray. He married Jennifer Sharp on April 19, 1993, in Kent, Washington. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jasmine (Cory) McElveen of Charlotte, NC, and Jacquelynn (Michael) Lawrence of Waukesha, Wisconsin; three sons, Tyler (Madeline), Dylan (Brittney) and Jordan Ray, all of Princeville, IL; his mother, Ruth Ray of Pekin, IL; two grandchildren, Brady and Kinsley Ray; eight sisters, Linda (Russ) Reynolds, Martha (Paul) Carver, Karen (Cary) Becker, Sharon Ray, Sheila (Dave) Boskey, Brenda (Craig) Evans, Joyce Rafferty and Colleen Fields; and two brothers, Steve (Lori) Ray and Dave (Arlene) Ray.He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Becky Ray.Doug's passion was restoring vintage cars, but he loved most spending time with his family and friends. He was an amazing cook who was famous with his family for his wild-berry pie, barbeque sauce and homemade lasagna. He was a proud Navy Dad, and was a huge Blackhawks and Cubs fan, who got the chance to see his beloved Cubs win the World Series. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Princeville, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Cottonwood Cemetery in Hanna City.
