Cummings, Earl E. 94, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017. He was born on August 7, 1923 in Sheridan, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rhonda (March 4, 2017), his parents and many relatives and friends. He served in the CC Corps 1940 to 1942 and enlisted in the Navy 1942 to 1946. As a World War II veteran, he received the American Area Medal, Victory Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific (I) Star Medal, prior to his honorable discharge in 1946. His first job was drill press operator in Plano, Illinois, followed by numerous jobs before retiring in 1985. He was married to Evelyn Rygh of Sheridan, Illinois for 70 years. They moved to Mesa, AZ in 1960, enjoying their time together. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, son Robert, and many other relatives and friends. A graveside in Earl's honor will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona (23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ) on Wed., September 20, 2017 at 12:30pm.
