Earl E. Gordon passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Royal Vista at the age of 88 with his family by his side. He was born on May 9, 1920 in Thorp, WA; graduated from Thorp High School in 1939; served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stationed in Hawaii. He married Betty Matthews on July 6, 1947. His father and mother, Martin and Eva Gordon, one sister, Lenna, and one brother, Albert "Hap" Gordon, preceded Earl in death. Earl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty, brothers Merle (Marianne), Thorp, WA and Gerald (Jeannie), Thorp, WA, his five children, Kathy Sala (Lonnie), Ellensburg, WA; Pat Fellers (Ron), Whitefish, MT; Bob Gordon (Sheri), Tampico, WA; Mary LaPierre (Rob), Las Vegas; John Gordon (Janet), Centralia, WA. He has nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Dry Creek Assisted Living / Retirement Center at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9. Inurnment will be on Friday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Thorp Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements made by Affordable Funeral Care.
