Earl Jeffrey InmanEarl Jeffrey Inman of Manistique, Michigan died July 5, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.He was born on September 23, 1933 in Valparaiso, Indiana, the son of Earl Cox Inman and Dorothy Richards Inman. On October 3, 1953 Jeff married Marjorie Ann Murphy in Cassopolis, Michigan. He continued his education and graduated from Perdue University with a Bachelors and Masters in Vocational Education.Jeff was employed as a Vocational Building Trades Teacher at Benton Central High School in 1968. He taught there for 22 years. For seven years he taught at Purdue in the Continuing Education Department.In 1990 Jeff and Marjorie moved to North Carolina and they both taught at East Carolina University. On February 18, 2012, the former Helen Sommerkamp married Jeff Inman in Washington, North Carolina. They made their home in Chocowinity, North Carolina in the winter and Manistique, Michigan in the summer.Jeff is survived by his second wife, Helen of Chocowinity, North Carolina, his sons, Kip of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Steve of De Motte, Indiana, and Dan of Schoolcraft, Michigan along with nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his sister, Sally Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and his brothers; Tom of Burnsville, Minnesota and Mickey of Naples, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie and his brother , Tim.A memorial service will be held for Earl Jeffrey Inman by the family at Indian Lake in Manistique, Michigan. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, Washington, North Carolina, is serving the Inman family.
