Earl Talmage Huff, 87, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2016. He was born on Dec. 2, 1928 in Todd, North Carolina to Dewey Talmage and Fannie (Greer) Huff.
Earl heard his country's call and served in the U. S. Air Force in Okinawa, South Carolina, England, California, Philippines, North Carolina, Germany and Japan. He was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant after only 12 years of service and was recognized as one of the first and the youngest to achieve that rank.
After serving 27 years, Earl received an honorable discharge for services rendered to his country when he was called upon to do so. After retiring from active duty, he returned to TAFB where he served another 23 years in Civil Service, retiring as Chief of Information Security.
Earl had a private pilot license and loved flying and playing golf. He was a Member of Midwest City Masonic Lodge and was a Mason for over 50 years, achieving the level of Master Mason.
He is survived by his grandson, Talmadge Hunter Huff, two brothers, George and Jimmy Huff, several nieces and nephews and good friend, Mary Lou Crum. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dale Huff, two sisters, Lillian Huff and Stella Baker and five brothers, Burl, Jackson, Kyle, Bobby and Claude Huff.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, Okla.
